This Privacy Policy explains how Octupie Technologies Private Limited ("Octupie", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use Octupie (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the personal information described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Account details such as your name, email address, and password.
  • Profile and brand information you provide to personalize your scripts (niche, goals, and style inputs).
  • The prompts and content you submit to generate scripts.
  • Communications you send us, such as support requests.

Payment information:

  • Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Paddle. We do not store your full card details. Paddle collects and processes your payment information under its own privacy policy. We receive limited billing data such as your subscription status, plan, country, and the last digits of your payment method.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Usage data such as features used, actions taken, and session activity.
  • Device and log data such as IP address, browser type, and access times.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating your scripts.
  • Personalize output to your style and preferences.
  • Process subscriptions and manage your account (through Paddle).
  • Improve and develop the Service, including improving our AI features.
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
  • Send product and marketing messages where you have not opted out, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. AI processing

The inputs you provide are processed to generate script outputs. We may use aggregated or de-identified data to improve our models and the Service. We do not sell your personal information.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, analytics, customer support, email delivery, and AI infrastructure), under confidentiality obligations.
  • Paddle, our merchant of record, to process payments and billing.
  • Legal and safety reasons, where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.

5. International transfers

We operate globally and serve users in India, the United States, and other countries. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. After you close your account, we retain information only as long as necessary for legitimate business or legal purposes, then delete or de-identify it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.

  • If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR): you have the rights described above and may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We use cookies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features may not work properly if you disable them.
